You know your day is off to a bad start when you squish a bug and spread his entrails all over your shirt and then proceed to spill coffee all over yourself, all before 8:00 am…
Yesterday, I took a quick trip out to retail land. Man, I do NOT miss working in retail. I had two missions. One was to see if BestBuy had gotten in this ridiculously cheap Bluetooth phone headset that was on sale a couple of weeks ago. $9.99. Normally $59.99. When they went on sale, theyhad 5 of them. The 'ol Bait-and-Switch. Three weeks counting, and they still haven't gotten them in. And they probably won't. But I'll get my way.
Next stop was Home Depot. Have I mentioned before that I hate Home Depot? There are two of them near me. One used to be better than the other, but that's no longer the case. All I wanted to do was to get a new propane tank. It took me 30-minutes in line, plus another 10-minutes for someone to come out and get me a tank. WTF! If only there was a Lowes nearby…
I gotta second IT on having a great Father's Day. It seems more like days like that are also days for Dad's to realize how good they have it. IT is always talking about how cool a wife he has…I suspect she's not that cool. MTK has a pretty forgiving wife too, what with finding Dixie cups all around the house with spunk and chew in them. But it's time to lay it out there…KAB is the best. wife. ever. She's put up with my mistakes and failures, as well as being there for my successes. She suffered through being a supermarket and car dealer widow, was patient after I got fired from Saturn, and patient enough for me to work a job making a lot less money while I go back to school and figure out what I want to be when I grow up. She shares my interests, kinks, and is capable of keeping up in a conversation, and she's a great mother to my kids. I never say it, but I appreciate her and everything she does.
